To Whom it May Concern: Sav-A-Life Troy Inc. Women’s Life Center has determined that some of its services fall within the essential services categories set forth in the Memorandum on Identification of Essential Infrastructure Workers During COVID-19 Response (“Guidelines of Essential Infrastructure”) issued by the United States Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (“CISA”) on March 19, 2020, specifically: Workers who support food, shelter, and social services, and other necessities of life for economically disadvantaged or otherwise needy individuals, such as those residing in shelters Caregivers (e.g., physicians, dentists, psychologists, mid-level practitioners, nurses and assistants, infection control and quality assurance personnel, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists and assistants, social workers, speech pathologists and diagnostic and therapeutic technicians and technologists). https://www.cisa.gov/publication/guidance-essential-critical-infrastructure-workforce In addition, the Order released by Governor Kay Ivey dated April 3, 2020, specifies that: Sav-A-Life Troy Inc. Women’s Life Center falls into the following two permitted categories. Health Care Services: Offices of Other Health Practitioners. Troy Sav-A-Life provides pregnancy testing and limited obstetric ultrasound scans. These services are performed under the direction of Charles Linguiti, M.D., Providers of basic necessities to economically disadvantaged populations: Troy Sav-A-Life provides necessary items for families in need such as diapers, wipes, bottles, carseats and other essential baby items. |
